Lord Jesus Christ, by your own three days in the tomb, you hallowed the graves of all who believe in you and so made the grave a sign of hope that promises resurrection even as it claims our mortal bodies" (Order of Christian Funerals, Rite of Committal, Prayer over the Place of Committal 218 A).
By authority of Canon Law, dioceses, parishes, families, and even religious institutes are charged with caring for the remains of the faithful asleep in the peace of Christ. If you or a loved one are looking for a buried loved one, wanting to purchase one or multiple plots, or are looking for general information about St. Mark Cemetery, located in Edgewood, IA, please contact Harry Wulfekuhle at 563-880-0566.
To keep our cemetery looking good and a place we can all be proud of for our loved ones, it’s time for an update. Since another flagpole is broken, it has been decided to replace all the flags and poles this spring in time for Memorial Day. We have purchased 15 sets of flags and poles that can be taken down and stored to help
prevent further damage. If anyone would like to donate the cost of a set ($115) in honor of a loved one, please contact St. Mark Church (563-928-7200), Harry Wulfekuhle (563-880-0566), or Michael Sperfslage (563-920-2421). If anyone
who donated a flag in the past would like it back, call Harry or Michael.
